June 2012 Glossybox

Hello! I know you've probably seen and heard this all before, but this post is on Glossybox (you probably gathered that from the title LOL). Above is the box I received for June. It is my first ever Glossybox as I have just recently joined them, hence why I've received June's so late!

First of all, I am impressed with the packaging, it's so pretty! I love how it's pink and has neat tissue paper inside. In my opinion, it makes you feel like you're buying from a company who is reputable and more trustworthy, kind of like you're not being ripped off. Plus it is pretty and can be used to store make-up in! Bonus!

I am so glad I signed up. The brands you receive are well known and of high quality, well are perceived to be...MY VERDICT/REVIEW WILL BE POSTED SOON. I was so happy because I've started to hate my tweezers, they are too rounded at the end and it has always been a pain to pull the finer hairs out, but guess what? HD Brow precision tweezers were in the box! I was so happy haha. Here's my first impressions:

HD BROWS PRECISION TWEEZERS
These tweezers look like they would do a great job for getting all unwanted hairs out with ease; the ends are slanted and more importantly, sharp. The design is sleek and professional.

GLOSSYBOX SERIE EXCLUSIV PRO BEAUTY BRUSH
The quality doesn't seem to be high standard and looking at the shape of it, I wouldn't know what I'd actually use it for. It seems too thin for mineral foundation and too square to use on cheeks for blush or contouring. It says that the hairs are from a goat, and I am not joking: IT SMELLS LIKE IT TOO.

BM BEAUTY SUMMER WARMTH BRONZER
I am excited to use this bronzer, it doesn't look too dark (some I've used can look like mud on my face) and it isn't shimmery either which is great.

PAUL MITCHELL 'THE CONDITIONER'
This is a leave-in conditioner that you can also use as a moisteriser, apparently. Normally I don't go for multi-usage products as I find them more gimmicky than anything else. But I am forever trying to find hair products that make my hair soft so I'm hoping this does the trick.

VICHY DERMABLEND ULTRA-CORRECTIVE FOUNDATION CREAM STICK
This can be used as a concealer or a foundation, both which are supposed to hide minor to severe skin flaws. I am happy with my Bobbi Brown concealer and I don't have any severe flaws, but I'm interested to see how much this can cover without looking caked on.

I know you've probably heard reviews about these products all before, I'm sorry!! I will have a post up soon reviewing them all, have a great day! :)

Lolly x

  3. I've heard really good things about Vichy in terms of covering up acne and imperfections - I've seen their products being used in quite a lot of YouTube vids. I'd be interested to see how it fares as a concealer :)

  6. I'm impressed they put Dermablend in. I use it on an every day basis and I think people often mistake it as a cakey cover all foundation. It's just a really great high coverage foundation that can be sheered down as much as you like depending on how much you apply. The coverage actually comes from layering the product. Having said that, the 'solid' version isn't as good as the liquid one.
